Can we choose our own song for the wedding dance?
Absolutely! We believe that your wedding dance should be special and unique to you, so we encourage you to choose a song that is meaningful to you.
How many lessons do we need to prepare for the wedding dance?
The number of lessons you need depends on your current dance ability and the complexity of the dance you want to perform. On average, couples typically need 4 -10 lessons to feel confident and comfortable with their wedding dance.
What kind of dance styles do you teach for weddings?
We offer a wide range of dance styles including waltz, tango, swing, salsa, bachata and more. Our experienced instructors can also choreograph a dance tailored to your specific song and style preferences.
Do you offer private or group lessons?
We offer both private and group lessons. Private lessons are a great option for couples who want one-on-one attention, while group lessons can be fun and social, they are designed for the whole bridal party.
Why should we learn to dance for our wedding?
Learning to dance for your wedding can make a big difference to the special day. It adds a personal touch to your first dance and allows you to express your love and connection to each other on the dance floor. Learning to dance also helps to build confidence, so you can feel at ease and comfortable in front of your guests.
How far before our wedding should we start our lessons?
It is recommended to start your wedding dance lessons around 3-6 months prior to your big day. This allows enough time to learn the steps, practice, and perfect your routine. However, if you're short on time, don't worry, even just a few lessons can help you feel more confident and make a lasting impression.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule a lesson?
Our cancellation policy is 24 hours notice or the lesson will be charged.
You may reschedule a lesson anytime before 24 hours of the lesson you are rescheduling.
Should our first dance wedding song be fast or slow?
It depends on your personal preference and dancing ability. A slow dance is a classic choice and is easier for beginners to learn. A fast dance can be more energetic and upbeat, but may require more practice. Our experienced instructors will help you choose the perfect song and dance style to suit your preferences and abilities.
How much experience do your instructors have in teaching wedding dances?
Our main instructor Shawn has 23 years of experience in teaching dance, in that time he has successfully taught 100’s of wedding couples. He is a very dedicated and passionate teacher and can’t wait to help you in your magical moment.
What times do you have available for lessons?
Typically we teach in the evening Monday to Thursday 4pm - 10pm and Saturday 9am - 4pm
We are also available during the day weekdays if required.
What shoes should we wear for our lessons?
We like our students to be comfortable, however please note that some shoes are going to restrict movement.
We recommend leather soled shoes.
Rubber soles like runners will grip to the floor and make turning difficult however not impossible.
Flip Flops are definitely not recommended.
How long are the wedding dance lessons?
Our lessons are 45 mins long, but we can also offer 2.5 hour lessons depending on your specific needs.
Can you help us choose the perfect song for our first dance?
Our experienced instructors have a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping couples choose the perfect first dance song. We will work with you to find a song that is meaningful to you, suits your dancing style and creates a memorable moment for you and your guests.
